Quick facts
Address: 1740 E Beaubien Dr, Phoenix, AZ 85024 — check-in 4:00pm, check-out 10:00am.
Door code: the last four digits of the phone number used to book on VRBO. Two numbers flash first on the keypad — enter those, then the full code. A long high-pitched tone means the door's jammed: pull it toward you flush with the frame and try again. Garage code:
Wi-Fi: TMOBILE-F7CD, password (tap to copy). Modem's in the cabinet right of the TV in the family room — unplug it for a minute and plug it back in if anything acts up.
Keys: on the entry table — silver is the front door, gold is every other door. Leave both plus the garage remote back on that table when you leave.
Already stocked — skip these on the grocery run: toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher soap, laundry soap, and garbage bags.
Cameras: a Ring doorbell up front and a camera on the side gate — just a heads up.
Owner contact: text or call 480-331-1392 for anything that comes up.

Checkout checklist
For Saturday
the 26th
- Strip any bed you slept in; wash leftover sheets and towels the night before you leave
- Deflate and fold the air mattresses back into the master closet (twins in their bags, fulls folded on the shelf)
- Clean and put away dishes; clear perishables from both fridges
- All trash out of the house and backyard; pool toys back in the tote. If it doesn't fit in the outdoor bins, take it with you rather than leaving it piled up
- Set the thermostat to 82°F
- Turn off every light except the one outside the front door
- Check every rental car for the garage remote
- Leave both house keys and the garage remote on the entry table
- Lock every exterior door and window — double-check the front door locks all the way before you walk away
Good to know
A mountain preserve with hiking trails sits right behind the house — the trailhead is just off the road. Sky Harbor is about 24 minutes away outside rush hour. If anyone wants an extra round, Lookout Mountain and Paradise Valley golf courses are both about 15 minutes out. For a day off: Sedona, Flagstaff, Tucson, Quartzsite, and Tortilla Flats are all reasonable day-trip distance.
Dinners
Vote on each oneat the bottom of the card
Two more we can swap in
If a night gets voted down, these are ready to go. Both feed eight, both are one grill and one cutting board.
Skewer bar
4 lbs chicken thigh cubes and 3 lbs shrimp, two marinades (lemon-garlic-oregano, and chili-lime), plus onion and pepper chunks. Everyone builds their own skewer, they cook in 8 minutes, and it goes over rice with tzatziki and hot sauce.
Sausage and peppers
16 links across brats, hot Italian and chorizo, three pans of peppers and onions cooked down soft, hoagie rolls, provolone, spicy mustard. Twenty minutes, zero skill required, huge pile of food.
Golf & dinner itinerary
Tee times booked —dinner follows after
All four courses are pinned on the map below, in the golf section of the key. Times below assume a 4.5-hour round plus drive time each way, so dinner prep never overlaps golf — Monday's ribs shifted later to make that true.

Breakfast
All seven mornings,build your own
The breakfast bar
One counter, same setup every morning, everyone builds what they want. A big pan of scrambled eggs (or a skillet out for eggs to order), crumbled sausage, chopped bacon, crispy hash browns, shredded cheese, pico, avocado, salsa, jalapeños, hot sauce.
Pick your carrier: a warm flour tortilla for a burrito, an English muffin or bagel for a sandwich, or straight into a bowl. Coffee on from 5:30, fruit and yogurt at the end of the counter for whoever's pretending.
| Morning | Breakfast |
|---|---|
| Sat 19 | Arrival day. Most guys eat on the way in — coffee, bagels and fruit at the house once the grocery run lands. |
| Sun 20 | Full bar: bacon on a sheet pan in the oven at 400°F for 18 minutes, eggs, hash browns. Make a double batch of eggs and roll 24 foil-wrapped burritos for the week while the bar is already out. |
| Mon 21 | Burrito day. Ninety seconds in the microwave and you eat in the cart. Coffee and fruit out. |
| Tue 22 | Full bar, sausage instead of bacon. Leftover tortillas get griddled. |
| Wed 23 | Rest day, no golf — full bar, no rush. Let it stretch into a long, lazy breakfast by the pool. |
| Thu 24 | Burrito day again, plus whatever bacon is left. |
| Fri 25 | Full bar, last of the eggs. French toast with the end of the bread if anyone's ambitious. |
| Sat 26 | Clear the fridge: final burritos, coffee, fruit, wheels up. |
Lunch
All seven days, mostly eaten on a cart
The deli bar
One shelf of the fridge is the lunch shelf and it never moves: turkey, roast beef, salami, cheddar and pepper jack, hoagie rolls, sliced bread, tortillas for wraps, mayo, mustard, horseradish mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, pepperoncini. Chips and fruit on the counter next to it.
Last night's meat goes on the lunch shelf, sliced and ready. Cold ribeye on a roll with horseradish mayo is the best lunch of the week, and it's free.
| Day | Lunch |
|---|---|
| Sat 19 | Grab tacos on the way in — El Super Taco or Taco Cinco are both right off Cave Creek Rd and both cheap. |
| Sun 20 | Deli bar. Cooler packed with waters, Gatorade and jerky the night before. |
| Mon 21 | Cold steak sandwiches from Sunday. Don't let anyone throw out the trimmings. |
| Tue 22 | Rib and chicken sliders from Monday, on the leftover buns. |
| Wed 23 | Deli bar by the pool. Rest day — no golf, no rush, no reason to leave the house. |
| Thu 24 | Burrito bar: Tuesday's beef, shrimp and toppings rolled into wraps. |
| Fri 25 | Deli bar. Finish the meat drawer. |
| Sat 26 | Pack out. Whatever's left goes in a bag for the road. |
Cooler, packed the night before
- Water — freeze half the bottles overnight, they become the ice
- Gatorade and an electrolyte powder. It'll be 100°F+
- Jerky, beef sticks, trail mix, protein bars
- Chips, pretzels, sunflower seeds, gum
- Beer in its own soft cooler
What makes this work
Nobody cooks lunch. The bar is out, the leftovers are sliced, and whoever's heading to the course builds a sandwich in ninety seconds on the way past. The only lunch that takes planning is Wednesday, and that one's a road trip for brisket.
Where to eat and drink
Everything here is
18 minutes or less
Mexican row, straight down Cave Creek Road
The best food near the house is Mexican, and it's all on one road running south from you. Four places, four price points, none of them more than 15 minutes.
A North Phoenix institution that has been feeding big tables for decades — cheap, fast, friendly, and no drama about walking in with eight guys. Pork tamales, beef taquitos, excellent salsa, margaritas by the pitcher. A solid call any night nobody feels like cooking.
The nicer room of the bunch, at Bell and 40th. An enormous bowl of guacamole made fresh, chicken-and-shrimp fajitas that feed two, chile relleno, cucumber-jalapeño margaritas. Slower service than Valle Luna, better food. Swap it in if the group wants to sit down properly.
Counter joint on Cave Creek Rd. Order at the register, loaded tacos, birria, carne asada burritos, real horchata. Nine bucks a man and it'll be the best thing you eat that day. Perfect lunch or a late feed on the way home.
Highest-rated food on this entire list. LA-style street tacos, tortillas made in house, al pastor and carne asada worth the drive, jamaica and horchata to wash it down. Closes early, so it's a lunch or a 6pm dinner, not a night out.
Five minutes from your beds
Cave Creek Rd at Rose Garden, the strip closest to the house — for nights where the whole plan is a couple of drinks and a short drive home.
The breakfast morning out. Meat lover's omelette, chicken fried steak with sausage gravy, bacon-blueberry pancakes, fresh-squeezed OJ. Patio has misters. Weekends get a wait, so go midweek.
Four 16-inch pies for pickup covers eight guys. Six-dollar wine and a patio if you'd rather eat there. The zero-effort night.
A proper neighborhood dive with heavy pours and cheap tabs, open until two, five minutes from the house. Not a dinner — the last stop.
Desert Ridge Marketplace
Tatum and Loop 101, 10 minutes east. A dozen options in one parking lot plus a Total Wine, which is why it wins any night nobody can agree.
Around a hundred taps and a half-price appetizer happy hour that feeds eight for about a hundred bucks. Poke nachos, garlic noodles, plenty of screens. A good option any night the group wants a change of scenery.
Steakhouse dinner without Scottsdale prices. Bone-in ribeye, prime rib, and a smoked gouda spinach dip that gets ordered twice at every table. The last-night pick. Book Fri
The easiest table for eight in the center — huge patio, takes reservations, menu wide enough that nobody complains. The reliable fallback.
Guacamole made at the table and a tequila list in the hundreds. Pricier and louder than Mexican row, but it's right there if you're already at Desert Ridge.
The Whining Pig is a small craft beer and wine bar tucked downstairs — good last drink, minimal food after 9:30. Total Wine is in the same lot, so do the booze run on the way to dinner and only make one trip.
Sports bars and barbecue
For a game, or for the one lunch worth driving for.
Big, loud, genuinely casual sports bar on Greenway with a shaded north-facing patio, misters, a wall of TVs and games at the table. Cajun wings and house salsa are the order. Easy substitute for any night out on this list.
Neighborhood sports bar in your own zip code that opens at 6:30 on weekend mornings. Relevant if anyone wants a beer with an early kickoff.
The best brisket in Arizona, no real argument. Order at the counter, get the fatty brisket, the hot link and the jalapeño cheddar grits. They sell out — be there before 1pm.
Half the drive of Little Miss and nearly as good on brisket. Enormous bowls, cornbread, mashed potatoes and gravy. Closed Mondays.
Two more, if you feel like a drive
Tatum and Dixileta on the way into Cave Creek. Everybody orders the bang bang shrimp; filet sliders and a big bar make it an easy group night with a nicer room than a sports bar.
Cactus Road in Scottsdale. Margarita flights, birria bao buns, adobo ribs — the most interesting Mexican food in range if the group wants something beyond the neighborhood spots.
One call to make today
The Keg for Friday — book the 8-top. Everything else on this list takes eight guys as a walk-in if you go before 7.

Two stops on arrival day, roughly $850–$1,050 all in, about $15 a man per day. Costco first for meat and bulk, then WinCo for the rest — it's open 24 hours, so a late landing doesn't matter.
Tick an item and it crosses off for everyone, with a running count in the cart. Type anything we've missed into the box at the bottom of a list and hit add. The × next to a line deletes it for everyone too — it's all shared live once the board's connected.
Who does what
Nobody cooks and cleansthe same night
Nightly pairs
Two guys cook, two different guys clean, rotate each night. Five nights actually hit the grill (Sun–Thu) — Saturday's pizza and Friday's Keg dinner don't need a crew — so most guys cook once and a couple pull double duty. Assign names right on each dinner card above — the Cooking and Cleanup dropdowns save live for everyone, so it's easy to change your mind later.
Standing jobs
- Grocery run — Costco then WinCo, needs to happen Saturday, whoever's up for driving
- Breakfast bar — first one up sets it out and starts coffee
- Cooler — packed the night before by whoever isn't cooking
- Reservations — one guy owns both calls
- Grill — check propane day one, buy a spare tank
Desert notes
Late September in Phoenix runs 100–105°F most afternoons. That changes a few things:
- Grill after 6pm, not at 4pm
- Meat goes fridge to grill, not fridge to counter for an hour
- Keep the cooler in the shade and refill ice daily
- Water in the cart before beer in the cart
- Buy twice the ice you think you need
Your turn
